Run by husband and wife duo David and Julie Threatte, Barton Cane produces precision-gouged, shaped, profiled, and scored bassoon cane that is processed using state-of-the-art equipment designed and manufactured by David. All components have been manufactured to an accuracy of within .001”.  The gouging process automatically discards any warped or defective cane.

I like the scoring very much

I like the scoring very much. So far after 2 reeds, I’m not sure but I’m hopeful. One thing that is different is that the tube is shorter than I’m use to, but I put the bahn length at 28 mm, so I remain hopeful because you are Canadian and that is critical for me.
